Joe Rogan has received a stamp of approval for his hugely popular podcast! The UFC color commentator and comedian is the host of the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast, which was added by Spotify to its exclusive podcast line-up in a massive deal announced in 2020! The move saw Rogan secure a reported $200 million to host his podcast on the platform.

With a massive amount of fans and regular listeners, Rogan’s show has recently received a seal of approval from 2024 presidential candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr! According to Kennedy, Rogan’s podcast has provided a much-needed alternative to the mainstream “information ecosystem”. And his approval was echoed by another popular guest from past episodes of the show and tech mogul, Elon Musk!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been a guest on the JRE podcast in the past. He made an appearance in episode no. 1999 of the show, and was involved in a passionate discussion about various topics with Rogan. This prompted the podcast host to proclaim his support for the politician by stating “I really enjoyed talking to him. What’s really important is his work as an environmental attorney…”

And Kennedy has now responded in kind by stating his support for Rogan’s podcast publicly! During a recent speech, Kennedy stated, “The one cohort that I’m doing really poorly with is the baby boomers, I ought to be doing really great with them because they are the people that remember Camelot and the Kennedy era, but they have a disability which is they only get their news from ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and The New York Times.”

Therefore he urged his young supporters to, “And somehow, if you’re young, and you have parents, you need to lock them up somewhere and get them to listen to a Joe Rogan podcast.”

Kennedy’s remarks emphasized the generational gap in media consumption, pointing out the influence of mainstream networks. He highlighted young people’s reliance on long-form interviews and podcasts for critical thinking, suggesting the need to expose older generations to diverse media sources.

His comments also found support from Elon Musk, who tweeted in response to the video of the speech, “He’s right”. The convergence of support from both Kennedy and Musk reinforces the impact of Rogan’s podcast in challenging traditional mainstream media outlets to provide information to the public!

The internet, according to Joe Rogan, has undergone significant changes, evolving from a space of unrestricted expression to a more regulated and censored environment. He attributed this shift in a past episode of the JRE to government intervention, advertiser influence, and the subsequent pressure on social media platforms to enforce censorship.

However, he was full of praise for Elon Musk, a self-proclaimed advocate for free speech, who played a pivotal role when he purchased Twitter and according to Rogan, “And until Elon bought Twitter, we were kind of f*cked because there was not one place where you could just wildly talk sh*t…”
