You don’t get a title shot after just one win, and Kevin Holland knows that too. The middleweight fighter is all set to face Marvin Vettori and believes that even if he wins the fight, a title shot is still not within reach.

There are few fighters in the middleweight division that are in contention of fighting for the championship. During a recent interview, Holland talked about how he is not sure if he gets a title opportunity now. The fighter just wants to keep on doing whatever he is told by the company.

“I’m coming off a loss. You don’t give a guy a title shot after one win. But once again I am a company man and I will do whatever the company asks me to do. So let’s just go out there and just look to be a great sniper if one must say.”

Holland is looking forward to his fight against Vettori, and he is focused on the same. The fight against Vettori is going to be hard for the ‘Trailblazer’ as he is coming off a loss. Meanwhile, Vettori has been on a four-match winning streak, with his last loss coming against Israel Adesanya.

What next for Kevin Holland?

Holland might be right in saying that he will not get a title fight after just one win, but if he beats ‘The Italian Dream’, then he could certainly push his name forward in contention for the title.

Holland and Adesanya have a sort of heated history. It involved the duo in a war of words for some time. Both the fighters took digs at each other. However, the comment train screeched to a halt after Adesanya’s controversial comment on Holland.

We have seen the fighters take digs at each other outside the octagon and we have seen it can get nasty. Therefore, everyone is waiting for the day when the duo collides inside the ring.

For now, Holland is concentrating on Vettori, and a match between these two promises to be a belter.
