In one of his earlier interviews, Chimaev revealed the struggles his mother faced when ‘Borz’ was young. He said, “My mother take care of us. Six kids bratha, without money.” Chimaev referred his mother sometimes didn’t have food left for herself, as she fed him and his siblings.
“She did everything because I’m staying here now. She’s the strongest of people.” Subsequently, Chimaev called women around the world ‘warriors’, as he respected the sacrifices made by her mother.
