Pat Miletich gets arrested in Bettendorf, Iowa
Hall of Famer and the UFC’s inaugural welterweight champion Pat Miletich was recently arrested in Bettendorf, Iowa. It was on the grounds of him driving while in a drunken state. The arrest took place after an individual called the police, reporting that Miletich was apparently driving the wrong way.

Law enforcement officials found Miletich sleeping in his car near a wall when they decided to wake him up. The officers noticed that the vegetation on the wall had scratched off, which was in line with the damage on the Hall of Famer’s car.
Moreover, Miletich declined to take the sobriety test asked by the police and smelled like alcohol, while having teary and bloodshot eyes. He was subsequently released from custody after getting slapped with a $5,000 bond.
Derek Brunson leaves the UFC
Middleweight veteran Derek Brunson parted ways with Dana White‘s promotion after an 11-year-long 21-fight run. He was slated to face Roman Dolidze at UFC 295 in Madison Square Garden. However, Dolidze tweeted out that ‘The One’ was out of the fight and either called for Jared Cannonier or Robert Whittaker as the replacement.
Brunson is out. I heard @robwhittakermma you want to fight by end of year ! Lets do it! November or December!

Ali Abdelaziz, Brunson’s longtime manager, mentioned in a statement that ‘The One’ had an amazing time fighting under the UFC banner. However, it was his time to move on and seek all the options in other avenues. Furthermore, Derek Brunson swiftly issued a call out to Jake Paul. We will have to wait and see how that works out.

Alexa Grasso responds to Valentina Shevchenko’s comments
Mexican fighter Alexa Grasso is the second fighter, after Amanda Nunes, to beat former champion Valentina Shevchenko in the UFC. She defeated ‘Bullet’ in the fourth round at UFC 285 with a face crank submission move. However, Grasso was down in the official scorecards of the judges, and Shevchenko believes that she won all four rounds. However, the flyweight champion begs to differ.

In the recent Noche UFC Athlete Panel, Alexa Grasso sounded off on Shevchenko’s comments. She believes that both fighters had won two rounds each at UFC 285. Grasso said, “Well, round 1 was definitely mine. I mean, I don’t know. Round one was mine. Second round, even being a Muay Thai champion, I thought you wanted to be on striking with me, but you decided to go to the ground.” Grasso further added that the official result, according to her, was 2-2. “Fourth round, I made a lot of adjustments and I think it was 2-2.” It will be interesting to see how both fighters fare this time.
