Former UFC welterweight fighter Colby Covington sat down on the Right View and talked about all things fighting. ‘Chaos’ is gearing up for his title fight rematch against the ever-dominant Kamaru Usman at Madison Square Garden. Colby Covington can’t wait to get his hands on Usman since he believes that he was wrongly awarded the TKO win in their first fight.

Covington has made a change to his training camp since the defeat and is no longer with the super gym- American Top Team. Covington was a staple of the Coconut Creek, Florida-based outfit for a while. However, he parted ways with the team under less than ideal terms. He’s now with MMA Masters and has had nothing but good things to say about his new gym.

Colby Covington: Locked in on a UFC gold

The D-1 All-American wrestler from Oregon state made sure to take a subtle jab at ATT when talking about his new gym and training regime. Covington believes he’s better suited to the more personalized style of training elite athletes. “Now I have new tools in the shed and that’s the best thing you can have as a blue-collar American working hard for my dreams… You’re going to see a new Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington with my new gym, my new coaches.”

‘Chaos’ Covington is keen to secure a championship with MMA Masters and put his stint at ATT in the rearview mirror. It’s very possible that he may get a chance to do that since his first fight with Usman was extremely competitive. Some fans and pundits believe that Colby Covington has the fighting style to give Usman a lot of trouble.
