Conor McGregor is unarguably the most popular MMA fighter of all time. ‘Notorious’ has had a great professional MMA career and has a professional record of 22-5. Now the former UFC champion is all set to face Dustin Poirier at the UFC 264 event.

This fight is one of the most anticipated fights of the year as it will be the third between them. Ahead of McGregor’s much-anticipated fight, let us take a look at the only 2 first-round losses the fighter has suffered in his MMA career.

McGregor’s first professional MMA loss came at the Cage of Truth event in the first round. ‘Notorious’ lost that fight against Artemij Sitenkov via a first-round submission via kneebar. This was just McGregor’s 3rd professional fight and as a 20-year-old he was rather inexperienced at that time.

Since that fight, McGregor went undefeated for 15 fights across 5 years. Becoming the Cage Warriors and UFC Featherweight champion in the process. McGregor did lose another 3 times following that, although never in the first round. Therefore, the losses against Artemij Sitenkov and joseph Duffy remain his only first-round losses to date.
