The grandest event of the year is only a few hours away as Conor McGregor will lock horns with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. After losing the rematch at UFC 257 in January this year, the Irishman is coming with all guns blazing to avenge his loss. McGregor feels he and his coaches have figured out a perfect game plan against ‘The Diamond’.

Conor McGregor’s long-time striking coach Owen Roddy joined an interview with BT Sport, where he talked about the sacrifices made by McGregor in the training camp.

Roddy said, “This is a dangerous Conor that’s what I would go with he is very motivated and he wants to get back. It’s been a very long camp, you know he’s made a lot of sacrifices. The team has made a lot of sacrifices all for this all for Saturday night. And we’re just gonna watch him go in and do his thing.”

Owen Roddy continues, “We’ve been doing that for the last couple of camps getting out of Ireland and just Isolating our selves making the main focus the fight and we found it work very well this time it was nice. We were in the boat for a bit. Then we went to California and then out to Vegas and everything went very well.”

Without giving too much information, Roddy gave enough to convince the fans that they are completely ready for the battle. This time around Conor McGregor has trained outside Ireland and has stayed isolated to put in the required work.

What makes Conor McGregor more dangerous in the trilogy fight?

The trilogy fight is happening after five and a half months from their rematch at UFC 257. This means McGregor had ample time to reconsider his mistakes and think of a plan for the troubling calf kicks. Although ‘The Notorious’ lost the rematch, but he looked promising in the first round. The Irishman landed the more powerful and precise punches in the striking exchange which got him ahead on all three judges’ scorecards.
