The main event of UFC 283 in Brazil saw Brazil’s own Glover Teixeira taking on Jamahal Hall for the UFC light heavyweight championship. The match was hyped up by fans and fighters all around the world. Moreover, the fight delivered as promised and the fighters kept the fans on their toes. However, the crowd was disappointed to see their native fighter lose the match. The 43-year-old put on a resilient performance nevertheless and gathered respect from fans and fighters all around the world.

Fans react as Jamahal Hill defeats Glover Teixeira in Brazil

The fight went according to Jamahal Hill’s plan. The American fighter put on relentless pressure right from the first round. Teixeria was on the back foot as he could not handle the pace and pressure of ‘Sweet Dreams’. However, the Brazilian managed to survive each and every round of the fight.

All five rounds were similar and it was an easy score for the judges. There were a lot of moments in the match where Hill could have finished the fight but Teixeria hung on. Moreover, Hill was impressed by the toughness that the Brazilian showed all through out the match.

The match went to the judges’ scorecard for decision and Jamahal Hill came out victorious after a 50-45 scoreline. ‘Sweet dreams’ entered his dreamland of his own after the fight. Teixeira could be seen as disappointed with his performance but proving to be a class act yet again.

The fans and fighters have even more respect for Teixeira after the bout. Also, members from the MMA community joined in to congratulate Jamahal Hill for his victory.
