In his post announcing his deal with the UFC, Hasbulla Magomedov thanked UFC President Dana White, the promotion, and his friend and former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov among others. He also thanked his team and added that more details will be revealed by the end of the year.

Talking about UFC President Dana White, one fan said, “Dana would never pass on the chance to make a new division for someone and immediately make them champ.” Another fan said, “Dana gonna pay Hasbulla more than his fighters.”
