The 2023 class of the UFC Hall of Fame got a lot more precious for the UFC community. The former middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, is all set to cement his position in UFC history, as he is now one of the members of the Hall of Fame. ‘The Spider’ set foot in the UFC octagon back in 2006. His debut bout at the UFC was against Chris Leben, and the Brazilian won the bout effortlessly in the very first round. Since day one, ‘The Spider’ has tried hard to make a big name for himself in the promotion. The Brazilian fighter became completely successful in the same. The retired middleweight champion holds the longest title reign in UFC history at 2,457 days.

Silva also achieved 16 consecutive victories in the promotion, starting with his first bout in 2006. The winning streak was broken when he lost to Chris Weidman at UFC 162. Most of his fellow fighters and the UFC president, Dana White, were so impressed with the Brazilian fighter’s bouts that they believed that he was one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA. The 47-year-old’s last fight in the promotion was against Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 181 on October 21, 2020. By this time, ‘The Spider’s fighting career has suffered some terrible losses. Now that he is finally in the right place, his son and daughter couldn’t be more proud. They expressed their utmost happiness for their dad’s Hall of Fame induction.
