The scene isn’t pretty different when it comes to the famed former UFC star, Nate Diaz. After having a rough childhood in the streets of Stockton, California, Diaz found solace in martial arts. He also held onto them for a greater purpose in life. Although Diaz never liked going to school, still it was his school days that provided him with one of the most significant people in his life.

Meet Misty Brown, the wife of Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz’s wife is Misty Brown. Despite some confusion about whether Brown was Diaz’s girlfriend or wife, ‘The Stockton Slapper’s’ coach once called Brown Diaz’s wife which clarified the haze.

Currently married to her longtime love, Misty Brown was born on the 24th of March, 1985. As per the reports, Brown hails from Lodi, California. She was indeed enthralled by Liberal Arts and enrolled herself in the California State University, Stanislaus. Even though she likes to keep things private on social media, a few pictures of the couple have found their way to the fans.

Brown is a homemaker and is currently employed at the Meyer Corporation as a WMi analyst, in Fairfield. Although she doesn’t share her husband’s interest in getting into a fight inside the Octagon, she does share a lot of commonalities with her husband. Both of them love to run, go hiking and cycling. But when it came to her husband’s fights in the Octagon, she was often spotted conquering the front-row seats with cheers for Diaz. But have you ever wondered how Diaz and Brown met?

How did Misty Brown and Nate Diaz meet?

Brown met Diaz for the first time at Salas Park while they went for a practice of their respective extra-curricular activities. Diaz was a member of the football team while Brown was there for her cheerleading practice sessions. In a later interview, Brown also talked about the first time she saw Diaz. She mentioned, “He was always running laps. Even then, he was getting in trouble.”

It is also reported that the couple has been together since 2007 and also tied the knot somewhere in between. But the headlines about Diaz’s occasional fights and Brown’s private nature have restricted most of their personal life from the public eye.

However, Brown has often been vocal about the real Diaz. Despite carrying a ‘bad-boy’ image in public eyes, Brown has revealed that the off-camera Diaz is a pretty easygoing persona.

In her interview with ‘The New York Times’, she revealed, “It’s wrong that he comes off as the middle finger mean guy that you can’t have a conversation with when deep down inside, he’s one of the most passionate people I’ve met. There’s a portrayal of him on TV, and when people meet him, they say, oh, he’s not mean at all.” A number of fans might find her descriptions similar to what the noted UFC star, Conor McGregor, had said about Diaz being a really soft person in his real life.

Do Nate Diaz and Misty Brown have kids together?

After a comparatively private wedding, somewhere around 2016, Diaz and Brown welcomed their first child in the year 2018. The couple named their first daughter Nikayla Diaz, who came to them on 6th June 2018.

But, rumors also say that Diaz became a father for the second time in 2022. In an 11-month-old interview with Submission Radio, Diaz’s long-time coach, Caesar Gracie, stated that Brown had given birth to another child.

Although neither Diaz nor Brown has confirmed the birth of their second child yet, fans may take Gracie’s word of mouth as the truth, looking at the position he holds in Diaz’s life.

Diaz makes a surprise public appearance

As the festivities at Noche UFC continued at the T-Mobile Arena, back in September 2023, Diaz made a surprise appearance near the Octagon. It was Mexican Independence Day and Diaz was spotted in the gallery along with Misty Brown. When the cameraman shifted focus onto the Stockton native, he didn’t step back from giving the fans a pose and sent a couple of jabs in the air. But then, as he side-hugged his significant other, the fans went into a frenzy.

Shifting to the fighting side of things, ‘The Stockton Slugger’ will face ‘The Gamebred Fighter’ Jorge Masvidal for the second time on the 6th of July. However, this time, they will fight in a squared ring. Without a doubt, Diaz will be looking to avenge his previous loss at the UFC against Masvidal, as they fought for the BMF title. With the drama and heat rising between the two, things are destined to excite the fight fans to the greatest levels.
