Joe Rogan is known for never holding back his opinions. And the latest controversy involving trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney and beer company Bud Light is no exception. In the wake of the uproar over Mulvaney’s collaboration with Bud Light, which has sparked calls for a boycott, Rogan has shared his thoughts on the matter in the latest episode of his podcast.
It all started when Mulvaney posted a video on her social media accounts showcasing the Bud Light cans with her face on them, marking the one-year anniversary of her transition. This move sent shockwaves across the internet, with many people expressing their anger and frustration over what they saw as a disrespectful.
The backlash has hit Bud Light hard, with the company facing a potential threat of boycott. Its parent company, Anheuser-Busch, has lost a significant amount in its valuation. In the midst of all this, Rogan has weighed in on the matter on his latest podcast episode, sharing his own take on the controversy.

Joe Rogan isn’t mad at the Dylan Mulvaney-Bud Light controversy

In episode #1969 of the JRE, the host sat down with comedian and author Sam Tallent for a candid conversation covering a wide range of topics and recent controversies. At one point, the duo delved into the Bud Light controversy that has been making headlines in recent days. The UFC commentator addressed the outrage and backlash that the beer company has faced over its collaboration with Dylan Mulvaney.

“The thing about this Dylan Mulvaney thing, it’s like-  It’s just someone who wants a lot of attention, and you’re giving that someone a lot of attention. And you’re trying to reach another audience. I saw it[the backlash], and I was like, ‘What the f**k is this?’ My initial reaction is like, ‘This is silly. Are they really doing this?'”, said the 55-year-old.

He further added, “But it’s also your Bud Light fan. Your typical Bud Light fan is like NASCAR, f**king sports. Like, that’s most of the people drinking Bud Light.”

The UFC commentator also mentioned how people are getting upset over this issue, whereas there are many other pressing issues that require our focus.

Rogan acknowledged that he understands why people are upset about the situation, but he doesn’t have the same reaction on it. “I like that people get mad. I think what Kid Rock did was funny, I laughed at it, I told him [that] I thought it was funny… But also, it doesn’t make me mad. It just makes me like, ‘What?!’ I get what they’re doing, though. They’re trying to get people who are popular. They’re trying to get influencers to help them.”
