“Because When You Step Into That Octagon…” – Almost a Billionaire, Dwayne Johnson Gives UFC Fans a Reminder Amidst Exclusive ‘Project Rock’ Deal

The UFC has become a brand in itself, the amount of value and recognition that the company receives today is like never before.

UFC’s collaboration with Hollywood is also something prevalent these days. Whether it’s to promote a movie or collectively launch a product, the company is doing it all. 

Recently, The UFC has made a deal with Under armor, A brand ‘The Rock’ is also associated with. The UFC decided to go with Dwayne Johnson’s “Project Rock” collection as their official footwear partner.

The Rock’s Love for MMA Nudged Him Towards this Deal

The UFC took to social media to decide on the co-breaded footwear with UFC x Project Rock. The Hollywood A-lister was in the video with a message to all the fans and fighters. 

Johnson said, “There’s no other sport in the world like Mixed Martial Arts. Because when you step into that octagon, it’s just you”

The video also had other fighters talk about how they drew inspiration from Dwayne Johnson; Meanwhile, also promoting the brand. 

The Rock also said, “the values and foundation of project rock, they are so aligned with values and foundations of the UFC and of the fighters. I always like to say, I’m the hardest worker in the room but the truth is, we are all the hardest workers in the room.”

The actor is a big-time UFC fan, he can be seen tweeting while the fights are going on. His biggest involvement with the sport before the footwear collaboration was during UFC 244. 

He Hosted the “BMF” Belt for the UFC 244 Event

Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz were headlining the event for a symbolic ‘BMF’ belt. The Rock was present during the press conference to reveal the belt.

Johnson also walked to the octagon with the BMF strap, right before the main event started. After the bout was over, the actor came inside the octagon to put the belt on the winner.

Johnson shares a healthy relationship with, UFC President, Dana White, which is also one of the contributors to why the collaboration was successful.
