Don’t Lie About It” – After Joe Rogan, Dwayne Johnson & John Cena Asked to Stop Lying, Reminded of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone

Retired UFC star Chael Sonnen has failed several drug tests during his MMA career. One of many UFC fighters, who have used performance-enhancing drugs, Sonnen has been vocal about his use of PEDs. He does not believe that athletes should use PEDs, but that, celebrities like Dwayne Johnson, and John Cena, should come out with the truth.

Chael Sonnen left MMA with a record of 31 wins, 17 losses, and 1 draw. He is considered one of the best MMA fighters to never win a major championship in any of the top promotions. However, He is still loved by the MMA community for his exuberant personality and charisma.

Chael Sonnen recently made an appearance on ‘Steve-O’s Wild Ride’ podcast. They talked about several things, including UFC President Dana White’s new slap-fighting promotion, Power Slap. Moreover, Sonnen threw some light on the issue of PED use by celebrities and athletes.

Chael Sonnen claims celebrities like Dwayne Johnson and John Cena should come clean about PED use

The retired UFC star believes that PED use can be very helpful if used positively. Chael Sonnen also claims that people could only reap the benefits if popular celebrities don’t lie about using these drugs. “It’s the same thing with Lance Armstrong, like ‘Lance, just tell us. These are helpful things. You’re doing something really amazing. Don’t lie about it.”, he said, on Steve-O’s Wild Ride podcast.

He also mentioned Hollywood A-listers like John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson and how they have denied using such substances. Sonnen also added ‘The Liver King’ into the conversation and said, “John Cena and The Rock …and the Liver King, whom we saw a week ago, it’s like ‘Guys, stop lying.” He added, “These [PEDs] are good. If you figure something out, tell us and maybe we could do it.” 

Sonnen also mentions that athletes give PEDs a bad rep. And that is why acknowledging the use of these substances appears to be a bad PR practice. “Athletes have given it [PEDs] a bad name,” said Chael Sonnen. He then mentioned those celebrities who came out to acknowledge these PEDs and steroids as wonderful things. He said, “You have [Sylvester] Stallone, [Arnold] Schwarzenegger, Susan Summers …all came out 20 years ago, and said estrogen, testosterone, growth hormone, these are wonderful things.”

Sonnen claimed that Legendary Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong should have come clean about his PED use a long time ago. He also said that he doesn’t understand why an actor as famous as The Rock continues to deny using these drugs. He said, “It’s like ‘Rock, what are you doing man? Help people.”
