Although combat sports, the UFC and WWE are poles apart in most aspects. Every punch, every kick, the audience, commentary, promotion, everything. With athletes from both these promotions exclusively knowing about their job, sometimes things seem to go off the hook. And once, Brock Lesnar seemed to have switched modes during a WWE fight.
Brock Lesnar, one of the babyfaces of the WWE and one of the most influential ones at that, was also a champion in the UFC. Being the heavyweight champion of the UFC, he was also the WWE champion at a point in his career, making him one of the most prolific wrestlers.
With fighting styles way different in technique and authenticity, Lesnar seemed to have let loose and landed a powerful punch against his WWE opponent Braun Strowman.

During the fight, Brock Lesnar suffered a hard knee to his head from Strowman, and in turn, the former UFC champ landed a hard right to Strowman’s temple.
The difference between WWE and UFC
Any fight fan would agree that the WWE and the UFC are leagues apart in terms of authenticity for fighting. The WWE follows a pattern of entertainment-based fighting, whereas the UFC follows a more genuine and realistic fight standard.

This is one of the reasons why it is surprising to see Lesnar switch to the MMA mode while in a WWE fight. The punch that Lesnar landed on Strowman’s temple was hard, although not to the point of a knockout.
Athletes in the WWE get injured a lot as well. However, the WWE is filled with storylines and gimmicks, whereas the UFC is more centered towards the fight game and sometimes real and personal stories between opponents.
