Ronda Rousey walking through her opponents at Strikeforce and the UFC garnered a lot of attention towards women’s MMA. He couldn’t understand why the promos for the event focused solely on Rousey‘s comeback instead of the champion. Hence, he had tweeted expressing his concerns back then.

However, as per many fans, Joe Rogan had previously been a part of Rousey’s hype train. He tweeted several times in her favor.

The JRE host also believed she could take on UFC’s male bantamweight fighters and also, perhaps, defeat the undefeated boxer, Floyd Mayweather.

Back in 2015, the famous commentator tweeted, Loud drunk debate at @TheComedyStore between ladies arguing the pros and cons of being a do nothing b*tch @RondaRousey has changed the game.”

In 2015, Rousey was at the peak of her professional MMA career. After defending her title several times in the promotion, she lost it to Holly Holm in 2015 at UFC 193. After a year away from the octagon, ‘Rowdy’ lost for the second time against Nunes. In both her losses, she faced a vicious T/KO, which led to many questioning the hype she received.

Post her back-to-back losses, she retired from MMA with a 12-2-0 record and found her new home in the famous wrestling promotion, WWE. Hence, she successfully prolonged her combat career and fans got to see her in a new avatar.
