“I’m Just a Poor Dairy Farmer Kid From Webster, South Dakota”: Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar Gets Candid With Daniel Cormier

Brock Lesnar has proven to be a successful performer in the WWE. The ‘Beast’ was also ruthless back in his UFC days. The former UFC heavyweight champion shook up the promotion and the MMA world with some of the most amazing rivalries that the sport had seen. The UFC legend promised some of the most intriguing rivalries and delivered with fans either liking or disliking him.

This time, the former heavyweight champion turns candid with his former rival Daniel Cormier ahead of Wrestlemania 39. They discussed the old high school days of the WWE superstar.

Brock Lesnar opens up about his journey from high school

The WWE star shared his journey with his former rival in an interview. The former UFC heavyweight champion also revealed that he still has to pinch himself about his upbringing.

Lesnar said, “I have to pinch myself all the time to remind me you know, I’m just a poor dairy farmer kid from Webster South Dakota. And it’s pretty crazy where you and I ended up in this world.”

Daniel Cormier also backed his statement regarding the same. He added, “Yeah dude. it’s nuts because junior college is a tough road. Not everybody’s guaranteed yo make it once you go that route.”

The WWE superstar continued, “I wasn’t guaranteed, like I barely graduated high school. If it wasn’t for my high school wrestling coach who made me go back in and get extra credit stuff, I wouldn’t even have a diploma… And then not to take the Juco route because I wasn’t a blue-chipper out of high school. And here I am like it’s crazy!”

The former rivals enjoyed looking back at the story of the former UFC champion.

Cormier and Lesnar had a famous altercation back in 2018

The tempers were flaring between the two rivals as they came face to face inside the octagon in 2018 at UFC 226. ‘DC’ had just been crowned double champion, and he called out Lesnar. Lesnar entered the octagon and had a few words for the division and its champion.

The famous altercation, however, didn’t materialize into a fight inside the octagon. But the moment became iconic due to the two personalities.
