There have been a lot of opinions on having ring girls in MMA. They are a common occurrence in most sports leagues and promotions. Some MMA stars like Khabib Nurmagomedov have commented that it doesn’t add anything to MMA and instead, it is illogical to have them. While others, like Ronda Rousey, talked about the amount of money they make.
The UFC always has cage girls during their fights. Ronda Rousey was once called a ‘bully’ for voicing her opinion. In 2015, famous ring girl Arianny Celeste called out Ronda Rousey for saying those ring girls should be paid less. She explained the difficulties faced by a model. There have numerous occasions when these Celeste and Rousey have engaged in a war of words.

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Ronda had this to say in reaction to Celeste‘s comments: “What did I say that was a bully? That the fighters should get paid more than the ring girls? How does that make me a bully? That makes me f****n right! I’m sorry, but she wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for the fighters. She wouldn’t. You think her [Celeste] walking in circles around the two guys or two girls, out there like, fighting for their lives is worth more?”
Rousey added that she never mentioned paying the ring girls less but believed that the fighters are getting paid poorly.
