There have been rumors speculating that Israel Adesanya could make his return to the Octagon at UFC 300 against Dricus du Plessis. However, his teammate and reigning featherweight champion believes that ‘Izzy’ could return in another event, especially on the card that is rumored to have Conor McGregor making his return as well.

“I think it’s gonna have to be Izzy and Dricus [fight],” said Alexander Volkanovski in a recent YouTube video. He mentioned that Dricus du Plessis may not be ready by UFC 300. Hence, International Fight Week could also serve as the stage for ‘The Last Stylebender’ taking on ‘Stillknocks’.

“UFC 300 or some card soon… Let’s see if Dricus could do a quick turnaround. If not, International Fight Week, I think Conor’s on that. So we’ll see what’s next,” Volkanovski added. We will have to wait and see how things pan out for the Israel Adesanya in the months to come.

The real reason behind Dwayne Johnson’s TKO move

Hollywood A-lister and former WWE champion Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’ recently made waves in the media after announcing himself joining the TKO family. Having earned a position amongst the board of directors, ‘The Rock’ is believed to gain a lot more from the new role in Ari Emanuel‘s company, even though the company can gain a lot from his popularity.

“I’m part of the real fighting world too, you know, this, and I think it helps him. It helps his brand. It’s going to help his brand even more, you know, being part of both of those. So, I think it’s a good thing for both him, and I think it’s a good thing for TKO,” said veteran MMA referee John McCarthy during a recent episode of his podcast.

The biggest benefit that Johnson gained was the ownership of his WWE moniker, ‘The Rock’. Furthermore, his insertion into the TKO family has fueled rumors of the highly anticipated match between him and ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns happening soon.
