Ronda Rousey is an athlete who has left her mark on many sports in her career till now. “Rowdy” started her career in Judo and became the first woman fighter to appear for a PPV in the UFC. She had a great UFC career before moving on to WWE where she is currently a superstar. Her experience in combat sports made her a perfect candidate to help formulate a policy that will help MMA fighters after they retire. Ronda Rousey was talking to California Assembly member, Matt Haney, about a pension policy for MMA fighters. “Rowdy” was also joined by her little daughter and this drew some reactions from Ronda Rousey’s mother, AnnMaria De Mars.

Ronda Rousey was the first American athlete to have won a medal in Judo at the Olympics. This, along with her achievements in Judo, makes Rousey an important combat sports personality for the United States policymakers. In her talks, Ronda Rousey explained why the nature of combat sports often left fighters to deal with serious blows and damages at the ends of their lives when they don’t have enough income to get their injuries and the resulting repercussions treated.

Ronda Rousey gets appreciation from her mother

Ronda Rousey’s very detailed and concrete talk on the pension for the MMA seemed to impress her mother. Rousey’s mother has had a deep influence on her and the former Judoka herself had a few words for Rousey and her little daughter. AnnMaria De Mars tweeted:

Ronda Rousey’s mother has had a big influence on her

Ronda Rousey lost her father quite early in her life. Her mother has thus become a major influence on what she turned out to be. Rousey’s mother is a former Judoka herself. In her formative years, Rousey had been under strict guidance from her mother along with her two sisters. Rousey learned how important it was for her to focus on the sport from her mother. She also ensured that Rousey understood how important was to give her best to win. These were the values that made her the athlete she is today.
