The name Conor McGregor has become synonymous with the UFC. Over the years, McGregor has achieved extraordinary popularity amongst fans for his accolades in the octagon. Not only does ‘Mystic Mac’ enjoy popularity in MMA, but he is also famous in other places. Similarly, once the former 155-pound champion teased a move to pro wrestling.

Back in 2019, McGregor congratulated compatriot and WWE star Becky Lynch for becoming the first woman to achieve ‘champ champ’ status in WWE. In his tweet, ‘Mystic Mac’ also teased a run in the globally famous wrestling promotion.

The former 145 & 155-pound champion in his tweet wrote, “Congrats to Irelands Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first Champ Champ. Wow! What a match these ladies put on! Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty! Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do. Or could I…”

 

While Conor McGregor once teased a move to the WWE, ‘Mystic Mac’ also took a dig at their roster. From his statements, it felt as if McGregor believed no one in the WWE was a match for him.

Throughout his career, Conor McGregor has been known for his trash-talking abilities. ‘Mystic Mac’ never holds back, and he did the same when he took a shot at the WWE roster.

During a conference call before his fight at UFC 202, McGregor shared his thoughts on the WWE roster. While he took a dig at the WWE roster, McGregor was somewhat respectful towards Brock Lesnar. ‘Mystic Mac’ said, “I have thought about. For the most part, I think these guys are p*****s, to be honest.”

McGregor further added, “They’re messed up p*****s, if you ask me. Fair play to Brock [Lesnar]; he got in and fought, but at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the f*****g eyeballs. How can I respect that? The other guy (CM Punk) hasn’t fought yet, so I don’t know about him yet.”

Conor McGregor received a lot of flak from pro wrestling fans and even pro wrestlers for his comments. ‘The Notorious’ later apologized for the same and said he meant no disrespect.
