People have often compared the popularity of WWE to that of the UFC. There were many superstars who have tried MMA and wrestling, most notably Brock Lesnar. However, there were a lot of trash-talers in UFC who gained the interest of the biggest wrestling promotion. WWE was once interested in Chael Sonnen and wanted to bring him in due to his immense showmanship. WWE has always tried to attract athletes from other sports to work with them on a wrestling show. Athletes like Shaquille O’Neal, Rob Gronkowski, Floyd Mayweather, and Mike Tyson are a few of the athletes who made a big impact during their appearances on a WWE show.
However, Vince McMahon once asked UFC legend Chael Sonnen to make an appearance on their longest weekly episodic television show, Monday Night RAW. Sonnen has been one of the poster boys for trash-talking in UFC’s history. His spontaneous verbal attacks made him of the fan favorites in Dana White‘s promotion.
