Dana White Responds to Conor McGregor Hinting a UFC Return

Retirements in MMA are difficult to predict. Anybody can retire and come back at any given moment. Recently, former double-champion Conor McGregor took over the internet after he tweeted two words. While the world is chattering about McGregor’s return, UFC president Dana White is skeptical.
Let’s track down what happened in the past few days. Rising UFC star Khamzat Chimaev went after the “Notorious” on Twitter. Soon after Khamzat’s tweets, Conor tweeted, “I accept” from his official Twitter handle. The Russian then narrated stories, in which he traveled to Ireland to beat up McGregor.

It seems like Khamzat wants to fight Conor and vice versa, right? Maybe. Well, Khamzat Chimaev was not the only fighter interested in fighting Conor McGregor. Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson also said that he is open to fighting McGregor.
Dana White responds to Khamzat Chimaev vs Conor McGregor
Some analysts claim that McGregor did not accept a match with Ferguson, since “El Cucuy” never called him out directly. The only other option is Khamzat Chimaev.
TMZ asked Dana White to shed some light on the situation. Unfortunately, White’s response did not provide any clarity.

“Probably not but who knows?!” White told TMZ.
Realistically speaking, Khamzat vs McGregor is far from happening. Although “Borz” defeated two opponents within ten days, he is still unranked. Fighting him won’t make any sense for McGregor. It’s a lose-lose situation for the Irishman. A loss will push him down the rankings and a win will not do him any good.
On the other hand, if he fights Ferguson and wins, he will make a strong case for a title shot at lightweight.
