Colby Covington responds to Rosie O’Donnell

Immediately after the fight with Kamaru, Colby had gone off the grid. When he did reappear, he let the world know that nothing about him has changed. In his response to Rosie O’Donnell’s tweet, he said,

“Rosie O’Donnell? What the f*ck has Rosie O’Donnell ever done? She’s losing 10-8 rounds to obesity. She’s losing 10-8 rounds to Donald Trump on f*cking Twitter. Who is she to talk about Colby “Chaos” Covington? She’s never f*cking fought. She hasn’t done sh*t!”

“The only thing she’s fighting for (is) all the women who are leaving her because they’re trying to come to me and they’re sweating me on Instagram. So f*ck Rosie O’Donnell, that fat pig.”

One word. Disgusting.

The comments Colby made display the kind of person he is. In response to regular trash-talk, Colby dug too deep for his comments to be considered harmless.

The statements that were targetted at O’Donnell’s weight and sexuality are just too low, even for Colby. When someone is placed at a pedestal, one is expected to keep in mind the problems that the world faces, not aggravate them.

And of course, Rosie O’Donnell does not fight. But she has done much more in her field and for society as a whole than Colby thinks she has.

Although Colby is a terrific fighter, there is a fine line between trash-talking and passing absurd remarks which such casual confidence. And that difference must be maintained.
