

Former UFC champion Miesha Tate unexpectedly gave birth to her second child under extraordinary circumstances. Tate and her partner had planned hospital birth, however, her newborn son had other plans. Tate gave birth to her son at home, as they couldn’t reach the hospital in time leaving them with no choice. Tate announced the latest addition to her family on Sunday and posted several pictures on social media of her son Daxton Wylder Nunez.

“Today I became a mother all over again! The experience was incredible, we planned a hospital birth but our son had other plans!. Daxton Wylder Nuñez was born at 8:20 am on June 14th in our home. We welcomed our son as a family….. it was perfectly imperfect and I am over the moon. I cannot thank you enough @johnnyboymma you kept me centered, focused, and helped me unexpectedly deliver our baby! I couldn’t have done it without you truly. Thank you for being my rock”. Tate retired back in 2016 and was last seen in action against Raquel Pennington, where she lost via unanimous decision. The highlight of Tate’s career was when she beat Holly Holm for the Bantamweight championship.
Since her retirement, Tate has been residing in Singapore along with her family. Despite retiring from the sport 4 years ago, Tate proved she’s as tough as ever, in what is considered a frightening experience by many. Tate announced that her son is healthy and the experience was perfectly imperfect.
Tate currently works as the vice president for One championship. Tate also expressed interest in taking part in no-gi grappling matches and defeated UFC fighter Jessica Eye at submission underground 2.
