The 4 time Olympic Gold medalist took to Twitter to share his advice for the New Year and how to tackle it. He shared some goals and resolutions which everyone can apply to their lives for this New Year 2022.

Focused on only what I can control: Michael Johnson

As an athlete, Michael Johnson had a phenomenal career. He is a 4 time Olympic Gold Medalist and an 8 time World Champion. Johnson is considered one of the greatest sprinters to grace the field. Previously, he also held the world records for the 200m and the 400m.

The athlete has worked very hard to achieve all that he has today. And that is why the goals and resolutions he shared for the New Year hold so much importance.

He shared some great advice for the New year. He will be focusing on only the things that are under his control this year.

Whatever the odds, we must be ready to tackle this year. There is no guarantee that the new year will be better than the last, but what we can do is make it better for ourselves by looking into the things that are under our control. Apart from this, he also shared some beautiful goals and resolutions for 2022.

One important piece of advice he shared is, “Commit to the process, not just the goal”. This means that when we set a goal, we must be equally dedicated to the process as well.

Additionally, Johnson shared that sometimes we may fall short of what we actually dreamt of achieving, but that does not mean we give up. We must hold ourselves accountable, but that the same time, be kind to ourselves as well.

Furthermore, we must celebrate little wins also, because the little wins make up the big win.
