While the left-handed Kerber has a better serve but Wozniacki is capable of pulling of crucial serves at the right time. Also, Kerber hits the ball hard and has a dominant baseline playing style, Wozniacki is better at the net.

Both the players have had a comfortable run at the tournament so far, with Wozniacki dropping one set in the first round, though the German is yet to drop a set. Kerber leads their head-to-head tally 7-5.

PREDICTION: KERBER WINS IN 3 SETS.

The second half of the semi-final will be played between Karolina Pliskova and last year runner up Serena Williams, who will be eyeing a record 23rd Grand Slam victory and overtaking Steffi Graf with most singles title in the Open Era.

Though Pliskova has shown improvement in the past few months, Serena is capable of pulling off a winner at intense stages in a Grand Slam. Both of them have had convincing wins in the tournament so far, dropping just one set en route to the semi-final. Pliskova also ousted Serena’s sister- Venus Williams.
