“Couldn’t Keep Up With the Other Guys”: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Bodybuilder Son Joseph Baena Opens Up About His Not-So-Fit Past Self

In a YouTube interview, Joseph Baena sat down and was candid about all the happenings in his life. He talked about his personal life, finishing his schooling and college, and how it felt to be a Schwarzenegger. He also talked in depth about what made him turn to fitness in the first place.

In the podcast interview, Baena spoke about why he chose to focus vividly on his fitness. Contrary to a lot of beliefs, he was not a muscular hunk from the beginning. He was rather on the unfit side of things and was a target for bullying. In fact, his fitness quest began only in college. He recounted, “I was like the chubby kid in my in my crew, and um yeah it wasn’t until I joined swim my sophomore year…” He said he couldn’t run. And had to join the swim team because he didn’t make the cut for sports like soccer and basketball.

Joseph was also feeling inferior to other men of his age group. He totally understood the gravity of the situation as he said, “I couldn’t keep up with the other guys”

Joseph initially had no idea what a magnanimous personality his father was. He came to know about it when he was around eight and since then he and his father had made several measures to form a bond. Arnold supported Baena through his college, eventually helping him to start out. Other than that, he is also personally doing really well as a realtor.

But, Joe is also an aspiring actor and often recreates his father’s iconic stage poses on his social media. And truly, the fans find them overwhelmingly similar. And, by doing things like that he is truly building his own brand, his loyal fan base who can’t wait to see his career take off.
