Arnold Schwarzenegger may have wowed his audience with his muscles and his acting. However, his personal life has been a topsy-turvy ride that also surprised his fans. Years of marriage and four children later, the Terminator star and his journalist wife, Maria Shriver, divorced in 2021 after Maria filed for it in 2011. However, both equally participated in co-parenting and were amicable with one another.

“It Was Me That Screwed Up”- Arnold Schwarzenegger Once Regretted His Divorce With Maria Shriver, Took All the Blame on Himself

Shiver revealed how back in the day, she and Arnold had quite different personalities. She recalled, “we definitely had like kind of not much in common”. They also did not have a shared social circle where they could stand the chance of meeting each other frequently. It prompted Shriver to make her moves first. However, when Katherine prodded her to think of one common thing between them, she replied, “fun”. This indicated that they loved to have fun in any given situation.

The couple eventually separated due to Arnold’s extra-marital affair with his housekeeper, Mildred Baena. The incident came to light, along with the revelation of his son from his affair, Joseph Baena. Currently, Arnold is on good terms with all his children, including Baena.
