But that’s not all. Before the film made it to the big screen, Schwarzenegger hoped for it to cross $100 million in revenue. However, the film ended up making about $85 million, and the star calculated an estimated loss of about $25 million—all because of the controversy surrounding the movie and its storyline.

Although the success and the legacy of the Terminator series are unparalleled, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s biggest paycheck did not come from there. Another movie beat the blockbuster to give the star a bottomless purse.
Schwarzenegger and legendary actor Danny DeVito starred in a hit film called Twins. This movie was also directed by Ivan Reitman and had Schwarzenegger make one of his smartest financial decisions.
