Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock often posts his training videos on his Instagram, leaving his fans impressed and inspired. The Hollywood superstar who made a transition from WWE, most recently posted about his intense leg workout during the later hours of the night. His workout video is accompanied by certain motivational quotes, meant to push oneself beyond limits. Now, amidst many of his followers, it has also impressed a certain bodybuilding icon.

The Rock, who has just turned half-a-century old, is showing no signs of slowing down in the gym. With his jacked physique and insane-looking body, The Rock is setting new bars for 50-year-olds all around the world. A 57-year-old bodybuilding legend and a 4X Arnold Classic winner, who surely knows the effort behind a good physique, has left a positive compliment in the comments. Here’s what he said.

In the video, Dwayne Johnson is wearing a yellow T-Shirt and showing his muscular carves in all their glory. He wrote in his caption, “Late night grind. Legs. 4 giant sets ending with 15-20 reps (or til failure) of belt squats. Giant sets = 4 rounds of 4 exercises back to back w/ no rest between exercises. The rest period between sets is no more than 90 seconds”. Veteran bodybuilder Flex Wheeler wrote a comment under it to show his appreciation and support for the Black Adam star.

Wheeler wrote, “Damn good bro”, tagging The Rock in his comment. Wheeler, who himself had an impressive run in his bodybuilding career in the late 1990s and early 2000s is definitely aware of the sacrifices required and the hard work put in to achieve a physique like The Rock.

The Rock wrote a further detailed description of other instructions to follow, in order to do a more efficient leg workout. Things like “Give yourself a silent pat (emoji) at the end” ensure to never get complacent, and “Get uncomfortable. Make it hard. Guts to fail. Have fun”, is to keep going even when the muscles are tired and the body starts to give up after a few workout sessions.

The Rock has also jammed his workout session with a song by one of his favorite musicians.

Listening to the song All Eyez on Me from its eponymous album by Tupac Shakur, better known as 2Pac, The Rock set his mood straight inside the Gym. He also shared his love for the musician’s songs and their deep association with him from his pre-WWE days. He wrote, “when I was pro wrestler, my boy 2Pac was my ring music back on my Memphis grind before I hit @wwe”.

The Rock ends the clip with a small silent clap, perhaps as a means of self-appreciation. Several of his posts show the inside of his gym and are about his obsession with hard rough physical workouts, which often baffles many. However, that is the effort put in to achieve a body like The Rock.
