The PBR’s Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour is set to kickstart from February 9th to 10th, next year. Over the span of two heart-pounding nights, spectators will bear witness to the world’s elite bull riders locking horns with the most formidable bovine athletes, creating an adrenaline-charged spectacle that showcases the timeless battle of man versus beast.

Reading’s anticipation for the PBR event has been fueled by the Velocity Tour’s outstanding 2023 season, where it not only surpassed previous attendance and competition records but also cemented its status as the most triumphant season in PBR history, per PBR. The forthcoming PBR Reading extravaganza will be the twelfth event in the new individual season, where riders will engage in fierce competition to accumulate vital points in their quest to claim the coveted title of the 2024 PBR Velocity Tour Champion.

The action will spark off with Round 1 on Friday, February 9, followed by Round 2 and the championship round on Saturday, February 10. In Round 1, all 40 bull riders will challenge a single bull each, with the top 36 advancing to Round 2 on Saturday evening. The riders’ combined scores from the first two rounds will determine the Top 10, who will then have one final opportunity to seize the event title in the championship round. The exciting announcement takes the community back to the overview of the PBR Tour in its first year.

Josh Frost, hailing from Randlett, Utah, emerged as the triumphant champion of this thrilling season, securing his well-deserved title along with a generous $50,000 bonus.

Despite facing a moment of setback on the opening night when he was swiftly bucked off by Sugar Smack in just 3.57 seconds, Frost showcased remarkable resilience and determination. He clawed his way back into contention by taming Simp for an impressive 86.75 points. Montanha secured a Top 10 spot but was thrown off by Ah Hell in just 3.31 seconds during the final round. Frost, starting as the reigning champion, couldn’t complete a qualified ride and hit the ground in 7.34 seconds, resulting in a sixth-place tie overall. However, he maintained a substantial 113.5-point lead over Montanha in Velocity points.
