Sage Kimzey is well-known for his exploits in the bull riding arena. His influence extends far beyond that if the tributes pouring in are any indication. He recently competed in his final NFR event in Las Vegas. Kimzey also made his debut in the Unleash the Beast series, giving a good account of himself.

A seven-time PRCA World Champion, Sage Kimzey will be missed from the circuit. He left many records broken in his wake during his professional career. Kimzey now moves on to the next chapter of his life.

Sage Kimzey – a champion and legend!

Alexis Kimzey took to Instagram to share a bunch of images. She expressed her pride in, and admiration for, her husband. Sage Kimzey, she noted, was much more than a bull rider. She wrote, “… You’re a champion. In what most would call a selfish profession, you have shown me and others how to care about something bigger than ourselves.”

The pair are parents to almost two-year-old Steele Kimzey. Steele’s mother had more words of praise for her husband. She wrote, “You have nothing left to prove, even before you take this next step – you are legendary. Most importantly, you have shown our son what it means to stand up for what’s right.”

Fans exalt the seven-time World Champion

After Sage Kimzey’s last event at the Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas, tributes poured in from all quarters. One fan could not hide their enthusiasm for the next chapter in Kimzey’s life. They wrote, “Cannot wait for this next chapter!! So happy for y’all and this incredible journey!”

Another fan termed Sage Kimzey the GOAT of his sport, writing: “The greatest of all time @sagekimzey.”

Yet another fan expressed their admiration for the couple, writing, “I watched you watch him night after night. It’s been a beautiful thing to behold since you two joined forces.”

One more fan cited the Kimzey family as a source of inspiration and wished its most famous member the best. They wrote, “This gives me chills. I love your little family a lot. You guys are so inspirational and I wish I would have been able to meet you guys. Congrats on the new chapter, I hope it stays safe and healthy for you, Sage!”

Sage Kimzey’s name must be synonymous with determination. To qualify for the NFR event in Las Vegas, Kimzey had to compete and do well in 15 events, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He did so without fully recovering after surgery. Kimzey’s legacy is well and truly secure.
