The equestrian community has witnessed a lot of horses witnessing ups and downs in their career. Similar is the case with a 4-year-old Colt Zandon. He faced a frustrating start to his 4-year-old campaign by attaining three runner-up positions. However, he has now returned to his pace with a stunning win. Zandon, who has raced from 2021 to 2023, was sired by Upstart out of the Creative Cause mare Memories Prevail. Trained by Chad Brown, this colt races for Jeff Drown, and was bred in Kentucky.

He has raced in multiple events and the stakes wins secured to his name are the Woodward S., and the 2022 Blue Grass Stakes (G1). After facing a roller-coaster start, this colt has again made his comeback by attaining a win at the $400,000 Woodward (G2) at Belmont at the Big A. After this win, the equestrian enthusiasts cannot stop pouring their love upon him.

Jeff Drown’s Zandon once again stole the spotlight after attaining a terrific win at the 70th running of Woodward for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/8 miles at Belmont on the 1st of October 2023. He surpassed the Film Star in the final furlong to secure the victory for himself. The Paulick Report has shared an appreciation post for the horse on their social media which has amassed the attention of a lot of equestrian enthusiasts.

The post carried the picture of the horse with his saddled-up jockey riding. They also posted his story in their caption stating that he has been a horse who was on the edge and facing a little bad luck by running into really really top horses on some of these races. Chad Brown stated, “I felt a little bad for him because he’s run such fast numbers in defeat that would have been good enough to win a lot of these races any other year when you really like it.” 

Brown also stated that he has always been in competition with top-class horses and always ended up in runner-up positions against them. And the horses that he has left behind are some of the best horses in the equestrian world. For him, he is one of the really consistent ones and it has been a pleasure to train. However, he is not just a pleasure to train, but also a treat to the eyes of all the equestrian enthusiasts. They cannot stop applauding Zandon for his commendable win.

The internet goes gaga over Zandon’s win in a Grade 2 race 

After Zandon’s win, the equestrian fans cannot keep calm. They have bombarded the post with their love and cheers for the horse. They were happy to see the horse win and knew that he deserved this one. One of the enthusiasts stated, “I was happy to see Zandon win. He deserved it.” Another one commented, “Always liked this guy, Good to see him run such a good race.”

The horse racing lovers themselves were waiting for his win and when the moment arrived, they were filled with pride. One of them said, “Always excited to see this Upstart colt doing well.” Another experienced fan commented, “I am an amateur but have been following racing 35 years. Zandon ran a very good race.”

Impressed with the colt’s magnificent skills, another person expressed, “Watching him win this race just totally made my day. I’ve always felt he was an exceptional horse.” There is no doubt in the fact that such a terrific performance got flooded with this much love, he really deserved it.
