Disrespected Simone Biles’ Husband Jonathan Owens Finally Breaks Silence On Upsetting Treatment After Gymnastics Appearance: “Fake”

Restricted by NFL’s leave policies, Simone Biles‘ husband, Jonathan Owens, missed the former’s biggest comeback in 2023 after Tokyo. So when Simone decided to make her 2024 debut, Owens just couldn’t miss it. As Biles flawlessly clinched her first all-around title of the season, the Chicago Bears’ safety was seen in the stands cheering for his wife. While no one can deny their love and support for each other, past trolls yet again appeared with harsh treatment.

Owens’ honest comment on not knowing Simone Biles before meeting her put him in the spotlight for critics. Getting tagged as ‘Mr.Biles’ or husband who does the bare minimum, Jonathan now seems to have decided to go straight into the matter. His latest social media post hinted at that.

Both Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens had enough of the trolls!

Jonathan Owens took to his Instagram to break his silence shutting down unnecessary disrespect. He reposted Simone Biles’ Instagram story to write, “If yall gone support, support!!! If not respectfully keep scrolling.” Followed by, “Cause being fake mad about people yall don’t know from a can of paint is weirdo behavior.” Simone’s original story came as a stern warning for all the haters who have been bashing Owens for months.

Fresh off the podium victory, Biles halted her celebration to issue a warning for disrespect towards her husband. Taking it to her Instagram story, Simone wrote, “Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband. So I’m gonna go ahead & say this one time. Respectfully, f*ck off.” Such an outburst from the couple is a rare sighting since Simone is fiercely protective of her public persona.

“I can’t clap back,” Simone had told in the Call Her Daddy podcast regarding hitting back at the critics. Keeping with that, initially, both Simone and Jonathan tried to gracefully explain the matter. But this time, it seems like the power couple was way too disappointed to let this pass and hence poured their feelings out with no filter at all. After all, one can barely bear the ordeal they had to go through. That had even brought Simone to a breaking point. 

Divorce comments caused Biles to “break down”

Owens’ controversial interview with the “Pivot Podcast” in December became the root issue for the fiasco. While Simone herself was proud of how her husband dealt with being called the ‘catch’ of the relationship, internet critics dared to ask Simone to “Divorce” Owens. As much as the gymnastics icon tried, she could not shake off this ambush.

Hence, months later, when she appeared on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, she poured her heart out to the host Alex Cooper. Finding it hilarious at first, Simone could not take it anymore. “And then one night, I broke down, and I’m like, ‘Why are you guys talking about my husband like this? Like, you don’t know him. You don’t know who he is. And if anybody’s met him, they know he’s the sweetest guy and will do anything for anybody’,“ the gymnastics star recalled. The pot was simmering for a long time. The eruption was just a matter of time that was almost unavoidable. It remains to be seen how the matter pans out from this point.
