The withdrawal decision, Simone Biles, made during the Tokyo Olympics took many people by surprise. The now 25-year-old has since been away from the sport she loves. Instead, she has shifted her focus onto her mental health and being an advocate for other athletes struggling with the same issues. Simone has also been planning her wedding with her long-term boyfriend, Jonathan Owens.

Following her statements, questions were raised, about her future in the sport. Biles recently talked about what the future holds for her, giving her fans a much-needed insight.

The seven-time Olympic medalist has accomplished almost every possible thing present in the sport. Hence, she has nothing left to prove. But the Olympian has previously mentioned she wants to see what she is capable of. Although, people who are ‘experts’ in the field already call her aged out for professional competitions.

Recently, Biles talked about what the next chapter in life holds for her. “Right now, that’s trying to find joy outside of the gym, because I’ve been almost out of the gym for a year now,” she said. Biles also added she achieved her ‘wildest dreams’ at 19 when she won four gold medals at the Rio Olympics.

Biles was also asked if she would be involved with the sport in some capacity. In response, Biles said she didn’t know if she wanted to be a coach yet. Biles revealed she once coached for a little when all her coaches had gone to France. And although the girls listen to her and she can tell what they are feeling, Biles thinks there might be a bit more.

Simone also added, “I just think the world is my oyster. I don’t think I have to have it figured out just yet because I’m only 25.” Biles is still figuring out her future and is also getting ready for her marriage with Houston Texans player Jonathan Owens. The couple shared rings after dating for over a year.

Biles and Owens’ relationship

Simone and Owens met the way most couples meet these days- via an app. The two have bonded over their shared sense of humor and their mutual love for dogs. The two will marry each other in 2023, although the final date has not been out yet. So what does their relationship timeline look like?

Biles and Owens connected on the Raya app just before the lockdown began in March 2020. After a few months of dating, the couple made it ‘Instagram official’ in August. After over a year of celebrating birthdays, going on vacations, and visiting each other’s competitions, the couple finally got engaged in February 2022.

It Seems like Biles’ future certainly has big things in store for her.
