Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens recently sympathized with a fellow athlete who was on the receiving end of some criticism.

The Phoenix Suns‘ power forward Kevin Durant has heard it all, surely. Three of the top five player-related prop bets for the game against the Utah Jazz concerned him. They were: Durant would score more than 30.5 points, record over 4.5 assists, and be the first basket-scorer. Durant met two out of the three. He was not the first basket-scorer in that game. Via an Instagram story, Jonathan Owens responded to Kevin Durant’s critique of fair-weather fans. Durant shared an image of himself with the words, “When I get ya paid, u don’t DM me and send a small percentage to my cashapp but when them parlays don’t hit, I’m every name in the book. Y’all ain’t real.” Owens shared the same image in his story and added the words, “Like, man, don’t nobody care about y’all parlay.”

Durant recorded 39 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds in that game. The Suns took the game 140-137 in double overtime. Durant also made a key block right at the end of the game with Lauri Markkanen looking to score. That was a moment of potential controversy, with the foul called initially but chalked off after a second review.
