Originally hailing from Moscow, Russia, American gymnast Nastia Liukin has always been clear about her life goals. Because of her determination and great efforts, the 2008 Olympics Gold medalist has achieved massive success throughout her gymnastics career. In fact, the US gymnast prodigy, Liukin, through her accomplishments as a gymnast and a style icon inspires her fans from time to time. Her recent Instagram story is the proof of the same.

The 34-year-old retired American gymnast, through the picture and words, gave a deep insight into her life. The five-time Olympic medalist penned a big note about being proud of herself in every moment of life as she reflected on her “life long dream”.

Sportswoman of the Year in 2008, Nastia Liukin’s life is an open book, and she is vocal about the same. This time again the 3-time Pan American Games gold medalist bestowed a very deep and thoughtful Instagram story to her social media fans. In the picture, there is a black-and-white view of the beach with a girl standing looking at the water.

However, it was not the picture that attracted the attention of the viewers. Rather the lengthy, personal caption etched to it. It emphasized the life-long dream of Nastia Liukin that she achieved at the age of 18. She wrote, “Life did not even exist in my mind past that moment and year,” referring to the Olympic gold she managed to achieve.

She elaborated on the overwhelming feeling that engulfed her when she was able to achieve this honor. Liukia said, “Standing with a gold medal around my neck, listening to the national anthem playing – A moment that I will forever remember and forever be proud of.”

Furthermore, she divulged the key lessons that she learned through her experiences. The American star mentioned, “We will always be more than our greatest accomplishments and our biggest disappointments aka lessons (I don’t believe in failures).”

According to Nastia Liukin, the only thing that matters is the feeling of satisfaction of knowing that you’ve given your best. She added that the consistency in pushing herself every day makes her proud. Further, she reflected, “A little smarter, a little stronger than I was the day before,” as her key goal.

Lastly, she concluded her post by pointing out, ” proud of myself for continuing to stay true to myself.” It is crucial as per Nastia “because in this very social media-forward world. we live in today, some days it’s a little harder than others.” Undoubtedly, Nastia has greatly pushed herself beyond many obstacles in life. And her gymnastics achievements are enough to prove this.

With her extraordinary gymnastic skills and endeavors, Nastia Luikin obtained five medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. By winning the five medals in a single game, Luikin tied the record of US legendary gymnasts. She equaled the record set by Mary Lou Retton and Shannon Miller for the most medals won by a US gymnast in a single Games.
