In an era where athletes promote social responsibility, Biles has made a name for herself as a strong mental health advocate. In April, Biles announced the end of her long-time partnership with Nike to join Athleta. Athleta is a brand that focuses primarily on women’s empowerment.
In today’s time, brands love this because “people love people that win.” Biles’ market appeal is one of the highest in today’s advertisement market. That, combined with Simone’s prowess to monetize her abilities through marketing and sponsorship deals, is a sure-shot money-maker.
