Horse racing is unlikely to see another like Frankie Dettori – a phenom in the sport and for good reason. He recently reversed his retirement from riding. The recently turned 53-year-old will move to the United States to continue racing, according to the Guardian. Though he had other ventures in the pipeline, the fire still burns within him to do more, as he told BBC Breakfast.

One such venture was the appearance on the Australian TV show “I’m a Celebrity.” Though he established himself as a fan-favorite early on, Frankie Dettori was the first celebrity to go. After the jungle, he took in a change of scenery, making his way to the snowy mountains of France.

Frankie Dettori took to Instagram to share a reel of himself and his wife, Catherine. He captioned it, “A slightly different setting.” The pair were presumably heading to the top of a mountain to ski down its slopes. They were seated together on a chairlift, attired in winter gear. Dettori said, in the reel, Hey, everyone. From the heat of the jungle to the mountains of France. I think I prefer the mountains. No rice and beans. I’ve eaten enough, haven’t I? What a beautiful day! Love you all.”

One of Frankie Dettori’s peeves during his short-lived stint on that show was the food. He made his longing for a proper home-cooked meal known after his exit. Dettori also made known his enduring feelings of homesickness. While he returned home, it was only for a brief stay. Dettori’s next port of call will be Los Angeles.
