During the 2021 season, when Acuna tore his ACL, the Braves did not bother much because, in the name of Freddie Freeman, they already had a hero to win them the World Series. Now, since the departure of Freeman, the Braves are struggling in the 2022 season. And that is when the management decided to call Acuna back for the games.

The 24-year-old Venezuelan outfielder is one of the top talents in the league. On his day, Acuna, single-handedly, can take his team to the victory. Now, when Freeman is no more at the Braves, it will be a perfect opportunity for him to earn the trust of the management and establish himself as one of the best outfielders in MLB.

Ronald Acuna Jr. shines in his comeback game

As of now, the Atlanta Braves have lost more games than they have won this season. Out of 20 games, the Braves have won only nine games this season and lost 11 games. If they continue to play like this, it will be impossible for them to defend the World Series title.

Earlier before the game against the Chicago Cubs, Ronald Acuna Jr. received a call from the Braves president. The Braves president Alex Anthopoulos asked Acuna if he was ready to play on Thursday? For a guy who has not played an MLB game for 292 days, Acuna immediately agreed to play for the Braves.

As per, Acuna revealed that when Alex Anthopoulos called him, he was playing Call of Duty. “I answered and he asked me, ‘Are you ready to play tomorrow?’” Acuña said through an interpreter. “Oh yeah, let’s go right now, I’m ready.”

They won the game 5-1 against the Cubs. Although it is still early to make a call, the inclusion of Ronald Acuna Jr. will bring some stability to the squad.
