The current free agency has been very happening for the Chicago Cubs. With the inclusion of Marcus Stroman and Seiya Suzuki, they have strengthened their already very strong squad. 

Especially when talking about Marcus Stroman, the former New York Mets pitcher is more than happy to make his MLB debut for the Cubs. Stroman is one of the few MLB stars, who are very active on social media. The Cubs pitcher shares his daily updates with the fans.

Notably, during the lockout in Major League Baseball, Stroman was very vocal against the delay in league games. And now, just in a couple of days, the Cubs pitcher will be playing his first league game for his new franchise.

Apart from being a top player in the ballpark, Stroman is a very down-to-earth gentleman of the game. He always likes to interact with his fans and be a role model to them. Recently, just a day ahead of the opening day, Stroman shared an inspirational video on Twitter.

In the video, Stroman can be seen engaging with the youth, when he was at the Blue Jays and Mets. And now he wants to do the same with his new franchise, the Chicago Cubs.

“Being a role model means the world to me,” Marcus Stroman tweeted. “Some footage from my time with the youth in the past. Can’t wait to get out in the city of Chicago and connect with all of y’all.”

Well, now fans don’t have to wait for long, as on the opening day itself, they will get to see Stroman playing for his new franchise. And it’ll be interesting to see how well he will be for the Cubs in 2022.
