21-year-old NBA player Caitlyn Clark was everything her team needed during the match between Iowa Hawkeyes and South Carolina Gamecocks yesterday at the March Madness. In the nail-biting match, Clark pushed her team for its first national game title leading to a 73- 77 win. Moreover, the 21-year-old also donned her fascinating Bruce Lee- Kobe Bryant shoes during the match for which she has a five-worded message. 

Yesterday, the official Bruce Lee Instagram page gave a shoutout to Caitlyn Clark for rocking her star game in the stylish Bruce Lee- Kobe Bryant sneakers, famously known as ‘Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro ‘Bruce Lee.’ Coming across the shout-out, the NBA ace player hinted at the power in those pairs of shoes.

In the latest Instagram post on Bruce Lee’s memoir page, the picture features Clark holding the ball in her hand while tackling it from the Gamecocks. Observing her basketball prowess, the page appreciated Clark in the caption that read, “🐉🔥Generational Talent. Inspirational Spirit – @caitlinclark22 . If you haven’t seen her play, you’re missing out…”

To this, the NBA star replied in the comment section describing her fascination for the Bruce Lee- Kobe Bryant sneakers. She wrote, “They got magic in them.” Clark credited the stylish yellow-black pair of sneakers for her impeccable form at the highly anticipated game against a team that remained undefeated throughout the championship.

Moreover, for the unversed, the famous Bruce Lee- Kobe Bryant sneakers were launched in 2010. It was Bruce Lee’s martial art style and mindset, that encouraged the NBA legend to carry forward to the wooden floor for the rest of his career. The sneaker’s yellow-black combination along with a hint of red pays tribute to Bruce Lee’s jumpsuit from his iconic film ‘Enter the Dragon. Moreover, besides a sneaker collaboration, Bryant’s attachment to Lee is beyond anything materialistic. 

Kobe Bryant followed Lee’s philosophy

The Los Angeles Lakers star player considered Bruce Lee one of his greatest inspirations as an athlete. During a podcast interview, player Kyle Kuzma revealed that Bryant found his game style by watching Lee’s Enter the Dragon. In one of its scenes, the legend tells his students that “less is more” and Bryant followed this philosophy in his game for the rest of his life.

Moreover, Bryant practiced Lee’s Jeet Kune Do for quite a few years under Jerry Poteet who was a student of Bruce Lee. The NBA legend also adapted the master’s Be Like Water philosophy which he also imbibed in his gameplay.
