On November 23, 2023, NBC played a dressage horse promotional spot for NBC Sports’ Thanksgiving night NFL coverage. Megan Thee Stallion, who is a three-time Grammy-winning artist served as the second celebrity face of NBC Universal’s campaign. The location was meant to advertise the network’s coverage for the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic Games scheduled to begin on July 26 2024 in Paris, France.

NBC partnered with USEF (United States Equestrian Federation), which is a national governing body of equestrian sport in the USA. It highlighted dressage training and featured top riders. In that regard, Megan has just released a promotional video that captures some aspects of that individualistic style of hers.

A fantastical blend of Megan Thee Stallion’s style and equestrian world

Recently, Megan shared a reel which was basically the promotional spot created by NBC Universal featuring Megan Thee Stallion, a popular rapper and performer, in a fantastical setting at the Palace of Versailles. The advertisement seems to blend fantasy with reality, showcasing Megan performing with U.S. High-Performance dressage horses at the Palace of Versailles, which is set to host the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic equestrian competitions.

Then the scene shifts to a boardroom where skeptical marketing officials listen as Megan proclaims “And that’s how we do the Olympics, Hot Girl Style. Probably, this is about Megan’s brand and style and incorporating it into the concept of the Olympics. She captioned this video as, “Hotties, we going to Thee Paris Olympics. Be ready on July 2024, Hot Girl Style!

Unveiling “Thee Olympics”

Specifically, for this promotional campaign, Jenny Storms, CMO, of Sports and Entertainment, NBCUniversal, was trying to stun the nation by giving it a holiday moment of the same significance as Thanksgiving. It aims to create expectations about the Olympic and Paralympic games to be held in Paris, in 2024.
