Back in 2018, Gabby Douglas found herself in a humorous exchange with the well-known comedian and actor, Kevin Hart. During an episode of “Cold As Balls” on the Laugh Out Loud Network, Hart, standing at a modest 1.57 meters, playfully posed a rather unconventional question to Douglas, the 2012 Olympic all-around champion, who has recently made headlines for her return to gymnastics after an almost eight-year hiatus.

Despite her impressive athletic achievements, Douglas is also recognized for her humorous nature. When confronted with Hart’s jest about, “Why are all gymnasts so small?”Douglas’s response was nothing short of savage.

In a hilarious episode on Youtube, titled “Kevin Hart and Gabby Douglas Flip Out!” Douglas, standing at 1.57 meters, the same as Kevin’s height, delivered a witty response when asked about the height of some gymnasts. She humorously quipped, “Mainly, most gymnasts are taller than you.” She further added that the sport “stuns your growth,” teasing Hart about his height. In the playful banter, Douglas also asked Hart, “Did you do a lot of pounding?” to which she teasingly remarked, “I feel like you did it. You’re short.”

The question of whether gymnastics stunts growth is a fascinating one, especially considering the varying heights of gymnasts like Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, and Shilese Jones. Biles, standing at just 1.42m, is notably shorter than the average adult, while Chiles, Lee, and Jones range between 1.5m to 1.6m.

When Kevin further asked about gymnastics training sessions, Douglas replied that they last for six hours, detailing the repetitive yet demanding routine of flips, back pops, tumbles, and twists. Hart’s inquiry about her favorite combination prompted Douglas to reflect on her gymnastics prowess, citing a complex sequence involving a one-and-a-half step out to a triple twist.

As Hart inquired about Douglas’ aspirations beyond gymnastics, she disclosed her desire to pursue acting, setting the stage for a lighthearted yet insightful exchange. Kevin Hart, ever the quick-witted conversationalist, responded with a humorous comparison, highlighting the perceived ease of gymnastics in contrast to the rigors of the acting profession. As Hart jestingly remarked that acting wasn’t akin to “that putt-putt shit” of gymnastics, Douglas, with a subtle yet telling facial expression, hinted at her readiness to challenge Hart’s perception.
