Alpine skiing queen Lindsey Vonn recently posted a video of herself training on her Instagram. Vonn is a former ski racer who competed for the US ski team and secured four World Cups. In 2019, Vonn announced her official retirement from the sport while holding the record for the most women’s World Cup race victories.

The athlete also has three Olympic winter games medals under her belt. At the time of her retirement, Vonn was 34 and cited extensive knee injuries as the cause. The most decorated ski racer switched to a business mindset post-retirement. She spends her time investing in venture firms and she also writes. However, hopes of her return have been rekindled, as fans flooded the comments section of a recent Instagram post from Vonn.

In the video Vonn posted on her IG on 17th December, she can be seen training vigorously. The unique form of training is what some fans are calling ‘specific’ to alpine racing. Fans showered her post with notes of admiration.

 

“Wow! Lindsey you’re a machine,” writes one fan. “Looks like you are getting those knees ready for something !!?? <3” wrote another.

“Looks like ski race training!” a fan confirms. “Are you coming home to ski xfiles and daily chutes this holiday season?” questions another. It is evident from her training that Lindsey Vonn is in perfect shape and is looking fitter than ever. A fan mentions, “Looking good. Fit for life.”

Vonn has a long list of injuries which include broken bones, torn ligaments, and more, which finally resulted in her right knee being damaged beyond recovery. Her training video has become a testament to endurance and mental fortitude.

“I blew out my knee running this year and I’ve been looking to you as an inspiration to not give up and how to get stronger,” wrote a fan. Another resonates, “It is this focus, determination, strength, and winning spirit that made and still makes you Lindsey, a great champion. May it be the inspiration for the new generations!!”
