Shaun White is an Olympic icon. White is the most decorated Olympic snowboarder and has won three gold medals. However, his Winter X Games and X Games career might be even more impressive. Shaun won one or multiple events at every X Games he participated. From 2003 to 2015, the Olympian won 18 X Games medals, 13 of which were golds.

The snowboarding legend’s final competition was the 2022 Winter Olympics. Shaun narrowly missed the bronze medal, finishing 4th in the half-pipe event. While White had said he wouldn’t compete in the Olympics anymore, he later announced his retirement from competitive snowboarding. However, now it looks like the Olympic legend isn’t enjoying retirement.

Shaun White wants to change his profession

The king of the half-pipe is quite active on social media. Although he no longer competes, Shaun’s love for snowboarding remains intact. The former olympian uses social media to promote his brand Whitespace. However, Shaun also gives fans an insight into his personal life through social media. In one of his latest Instagram stories, Shaun White revealed what he wants to do.

The story in question is a picture of White holding two Nerf guns across his chest, forming an X-shape. Both guns are identical, with the word “X Shot” inscribed on them. The Olympian probably clicked the image inside his home. White uploaded the picture with the caption, “Retired guy… Will babysit for $”. Shaun seems bored enough to want to babysit for cash, although he is worth millions.

Recently White also appeared live on Good Morning America. The hosts asked him if he was considering a return to the sport. However, Shaun said he had no plans to return to snowboarding mere months after retiring.

However, if the Instagram story is any indication, the Olympian seems quite bored with retirement. One can also assume that Shaun will have Nerf gun battles with the kids he’ll babysit.

While many people take a lifetime to master a single sport, Shaun grasped two. Shaun became good friends with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk at a young age. Hawk helped him become a pro skateboarder. While Shaun’s focus was snowboarding, he also competed in skateboarding, winning events at the X Games.

Shaun has won five X Games medals in skateboarding, including two golds. The Olympic champion became the first man to win medals in both Summer and Winter X Games.
