The strength of a true relationship is only put to the test in the hardest of times. While such times are never warranted, dangers and accidents often lurk in every corner of life. When PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico was riding a horse on his way to the El Rocio pilgrimage this Sunday, he fell and suffered an injury that put him in the hospital. While the Virgin del Rocio Hospital in Sevilla, Spain has kept him under treatment, his wife, Alba Silva has been a rock beside him this whole time. She has now shared a heartfelt message while praying for his recovery.
After PSG’s grand victory at Ligue 1 this year, Rico was visiting the Hermitage of El Rocio in Huelva, Sevilla. This is when the mishap happened, and he suffered several lacerations on his body and a head injury. As he still yet to fully recover, his wife sent out a sweet and heartfelt message for him on Instagram.

Alba Silva took to her Instagram and wrote, “Don’t leave me alone my love because I swear I can’t, nor do I know how to live without you. We are waiting for you my life, we love you so much”. Silva poured her heart out in this post, as the couple complete their 7 years of relationship together. She and his family are also eagerly praying day and night for his release from the hospital.
While his family has been a constant source of motivation for him, his wife Alba Silva couldn’t bear the thought of losing Rico on the off-chance. Rico met his wife Silva, a 28-year-old Instagram model and star, in 2016. After 6 years of dating, the two wed in 2022 and have a son together.
