The Dutch star athlete has been making waves since last year when she won two world championships in the hurdles event, especially indoors on the short track. To which, stands her resilient competitor in the opposition, Sydney McLaughlin Levrone, who is an Olympic champion and a 2022 World champion (50.68s).

While both are ready to clinch the blue ribbon in the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024, their association in the 400m hurdles and 400 flat this year, has sparked fierce competition amongst the two athletes. The face-off has been bubbling since long a glimpse of which could be seen getting roused recently on a social media post.

Travis Miller, the NBC sports director lately announced whether anybody else could challenge USA’s hurdler and sprinter this time ahead of Paris Olympics 2024. His post on X read, “Will anyone challenge Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone for the Paris Olympics 400mH title?” Considering the constant comparisons the two athletes, the American athlete is up for facing against the 2x World Champion both, in the 400m hurdles and 400m flat, this season.

Sydney McLaughlin Levrone, however, has not confirmed her potential participation in the 400m yet, however, fans have etched their opinions on who they support in the upcoming Summer Games. The internet rather took by surprise, the offerings it had to make regarding the same. Fans were choosing the Dutch star athlete, over the former American Olympic gold medalist.

Astonishing angles for the 400m hurdles and flat

Providing support in huge numbers in the comments section of Travis Miller’s post on X, the audience took a troll to on berating USA’s Sydney McLaughlin and instead picked the European world champion, Femke Bol over the Tokyo Olympics gold medalist. A track and field enthusiast settled it right away by saying, “Is that really a question?? Femke has shown that she has the potential to win. Not saying she will, but right now it’s a two-woman fight..”

Though not a winner in the 400m hurdles, Femke Bol with her last and current year’s championship had won the hearts of many, which initiated people to write, “You all really underestimating Femke Bol”, “It’s going to be a battle with Bol” and “Bol definitely. Thought Syd was going for the 400 flat?” .I don’t have anything personal against her but I really hope Femke wins..”, read another comment while comparing wisely the previous track records and choosing the Dutch athlete over the American gold medalist.
