This duo met in 2016 for the first time. Ironically, at the Olympics photoshoot. The couple became official the following year after Bird came out of the closet as a lesbian and Megan’s partner. Since then, they have become the power couple in the sporting world.

Megan Rapinoe received incredible support from Bird during 2019

2019 was a tumultuous year for Rapinoe in many ways. From having a debacle with the then president Donald Trump to playing and bringing home the World Cup. But Bird was there to help Megan ease through everything. When the soccer team lifted the cup, Rapinoe and Bird were captured celebrating. In a 2019 interview, Bird reminisced how happy she was that Megan got the cup after the Trump debacle. Brid said she loved how both of them were rooting for each other’s professional success, no matter what.

This basketball star also reminisced how proud she was seeing Megan play. She said, “I was happy. I was crazy. I was PROUD. I was pretending to know about soccer. I was a little overwhelmed…” In short, these two divas are each other’s biggest fans!
